whos glad its finally over at this point

I for one have just been laughing at how stupid this once great(or at least very good) show has gotten. Jane/Deb has turned into an arrogant narcissistic be... The story lines and cases have gotten to the point of high school play quality and writing. As if the writers got a pay cut or their benefits dropped...something that purposely made them submit bad stories. As for the twin thing, yes it crossed my mind too but that would just be wrong. So my only prediction that I'm almost certain of is that the ending will be unrealistic, unfullfilling, stupid, loose ended, irritating, and downright DUMB. We shall see but the suffering will finally end. Obviously I am one of the people that are only watching this last season out of pure curiosity for if it were for the shows quality would have stopped about a third of the way in last season.

Can't help but agree. This season started out strong then turned into a joke.

Ready to finish this off

As I was watching the finale, I told my husband that I was so glad it is over.

Well it's done. Finally. I feel just as bad as I did when I was disappointed in the way the writers ended the Red John scenario in The Mentalist. What a waste of a good show. They turned Jane into a narcissistic spoiled selfish person, got rid of the real Grayson, showed us that Margaret Cho was smart to bail early on, and they never gave us an understanding of why Paul is still there. I mean, come on, Jane doesn't need a guardian angel anymore. What a piece of crock this finale was.

The finale was so un-important and less interesting than most of the previous unremarkable episodes. I was hoping for something ... different maybe? But after the majority of season 6, I should not have been surprised. Jane became a character I rolled my eyes at in season 6. I wasn't even rooting for her any more. Sad.

reply

yes eclive, I know how you feel. It's like we got a Jane at the end that we didn't know. Who was this new, hateful Jane who quit her partner law firm job, and dissed her two partners, Owen and Kim? I'm so glad they put us out of our misery by ending it.

Wow! I am really in the minority here because I thought the end was charming and lovely. Sure it had some dumb storylines during the season, but every season did. They left it open just enough to have another season if another network should pick it up. I really hope they don't go on though. I'm content with what we have had. The only thing I didn't care for was the babies were not shown. They could have at least had one shot of them in the nursery. Stacey was awfully made up for having just delivered twins and flying high on drugs. But other than that it was a fine ending to a pretty good series. I've watched the last five minutes about 10 times so far and still find it very charming.

Thank the sky genie this is over. This has become a jumped the shark golden turkey of a show. Only cast member I'm proud of is Margaret Cho for seeing what a stinker she was bailing on. I hope they can find a new show for Jennifer Love Hewett to return and show off her post baby body on.

it hurts to say this but i agree , had the same thought , it took me 5 days to watch the finale i was that interested to see it

i can't understand what happened , the season started off ok with grayson knowing about deb/jane , i thought finally we're going to get to see them date and be together no secrets , and because of that i was rolling with the sub-par cases storylines but then they went and kill grayson off , after that i watched the rest in a stunned disbelief , holding on against hope it was some bad dream but nope

i spent 4 yrs 6 yrs rooting for grayson real grayson to see jane , love her for her which he finaly did and then they robbed me of the end we all deserved , those of us who rooted for these 2 actors , then they sprung some nobody on us as if we care IDGAF, and we're suppose to feel an emotional attachment in a couple episodes when we had yrs with jane/deb premise

i sincerely hope this is it and they let it die ! frankly as it is i'm going to pretend the show stopped when grayson was about to proposed to jane and never die

I just wanted the finale now and I agree. The only way they could have salvaged the final episode was to have both Jane and Grayson/Ian die together.. .

I agree. I felt robbed too.

Yes, I hated this ending. Worst ending to a series in a while. I wanted to see those two actors together. That is more satisfying than some unknown actor getting together with Jane.

I LOVED this show when it started... but this last season has made me cringe more than anything. Bad acting, bad storyline, THEY TURNED KIM INTO A BABY-CRAZY MAMA BEAR! SHE WAS AWESOME (somewhat bitchy, but that's why we loved her) and now all of her storylines, and even cases, revolve around her motherly instinct?
I'm glad this season was the last, because there was just no coming back from this.
And then there's Jane and Greyson, who have absolutely no chemistry, she had great chemistry with Owen, but I think it's Greyson who is just... blah... maybe I'm biased against the actor, but the character seems to be somewhat of a misogynist, always trying to put Deb/Jane in her place.
Stacy and her sudden wish to become a mother. Where the hell did THAT come from??? I mean she was an aspiring actress and model who took very good care of her appearance and all of a sudden "I'm gonna have a baby"? It seemed forced and the whole Stacy-Owen thing... no.
It's getting to the point where I can't even remember what I loved about this show. I'm going to finish this season out of respect for what it once was, but man, I'm glad it's over.

What about what they did to Jay?
So he's going to prove to one of his baby mamas he can be a good, reliable parent by abandoning the other one while she's pregnant? Never ever to see her or the kid? WTAF?

reply

You said it...the whole Parker bailing out on not only his firm from which his name is included in, but especially on the woman now carrying his child. After 4 seasons of the whole "will they or won't they" vibe that they fed us from the get go, they basically sh!t on the viewers who followed this show from the beginning by completely robbing us of that jay/kim conclusion that we deserved.

This is not the greatest signature in the world. This is just a tribute.

I totally agree.

The funny thing about Kim, though, for me at least, was that, even though she was less witchy and I missed the old her, I liked her story lines the most in the last season.

I hated everything they did to all the other characters though.

Once upon a time there was a magical place where it never rained. The end.

dragging out the grayson storyline back and forth for years got tiring. they should have had them hook up at the end of season 3 or 4 then have the real jane come back and work with deb/jane. i loved those two together, deb teaching jane to be sexy in a lingerie model body. the actress was so cute (real deb). i like the formula of court cases every week, especially when they coincide with the character's real life dilemmas. i think they underestimated us, the audience, to be harlequin romance reading soap opera loving housewives. they could have solved the grayson thing and changed things around to seem fresh.
