the cases I expected but didnt see in the series

Seems some sensitive issues are not touched in this TV. I hope to see
1?a case involving gay/lesbian, like a same-sex marriage
2?a mercy-killing case
3?a case about the relationship between civilians and servicemen
4) a case involving the gun-control issue

There was an episode where two high school lesbians were fighting to go to their prom as their school wasn't allowing them to buy a couples ticket. Season 3 episode 5.
