I just caught this on the BBC, missed a few key scenes I assume... But the woman he loved stroked his hair in a certain way... And then... Err? I'm just curious. And confused.

Highly unlikely without a lot of nested time-traveling.

This is mostly red herring with a hint of homage (Terminator).

He could have told her off screen the way his mother stroked his hair during their sexual encounter, same as with Suzie.

lol not sure how missing "a few scenes" take you from a woman stroking a dead guy's hair to "he had sex with his mother". You just join the big club of "I didn't get the movie at all so I'm making *beep* twists up".
