Am I the only one who would have simply just offed Cid?

The ending was exaggerated. ''Oh no, if I don't kill myself right now. My future self who just finished off an entire mafia chapter by himself won't be able to track a kid in a train creating a circle of events.''

It annoyed me how the protagonist practically threw his life away. Anyone would have probably just killed the kid given the chance but then again the younger Joe was supposed to be stupid and senseless so I guess his decision wasn't unexpected.

You must have missed the "I saw the monster I become and I changed it... BOOM."

Talk about agency (control) for ANY JOE, finally. Until that point, every JOE is a puppet on a string.

I'll cede it was a cowardly decision. But having seen what becomes of "his life," are you sure it was senseless?

Enjoy these words, for one day they'll be gone... All of them.
