What's with the crappy gun?
Why not just a regular shotgun?
Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.
This is explained by Blue Boy. The gun won't hit anything past 15 feet but basically guarantees a kill at less than 15 feet.
