When is this getting an International Release
here in the states this the first Bollywood Film that has caught my eye
shareIt ran in 625 North American theaters for the last two weekends. That is not a lot for a popular action movie. Those often get over 800 North American theaters.
Indian movies open in North America on the same weekend they open in India. (I assume this is to deter piracy, and to capitalize on critic reviews and word-of-mouth.) They sometimes open on Thursdays and even Wednesdays, just like American films.
Indian movies have large drop offs after opening weekends, just like many American movies. Of the two large theaters nearest to me that aired it, one is dropping it this weekend. Certain theaters tend to carry Indian movies regularly. The box office per theater is often near the highest for all North American movies. That indicates that more North American theaters should carry them.
Wikipedia has been summarizing critic reviews from India in English at the bottom of their pages for Indian movies. Some Indian films with mediocre ratings have more appeal to North American audiences.
