Contrary to some thoughts, UK film critic did not give "A Serbian Film" the lowest possible rating.

Granted, he DID find it a disappointment overall yes, but he didn't think it was COMPLETELY terrible and useless, so he didn't give it the lowest possible rating. In his case, the rating for this movie is more like a 2 or 2.5 stars out of 5 and at most a 5 out of 10.

He even praised this film's technical aspects and said that it was "technically well done" and that it had some redeeming value in the form of unintentional stupidity and trashy campiness, which made some of the more extreme aspects of it ironically easier to tolerate even if it was overall not particularly powerful, impressive and effective in his views.

Plus, he HIMSELF actually IS a fan of many extreme films like "Cannibal Holocaust" and others, so the display of such material, though not pleasant of course, didn't exactly "offend" him but more to the point...

He wasn't impressed with it but he didn't give it the lowest rating like some folks thought he did.

And there have been films however less extreme and however more "well reputed" that he actually gave LOWER ratings too so that's that.

Oh well...
