Beats me, but I just found out that the movie is an absolute disaster. It just might be the flop of 2018.

Apparently $100 million. A rather modest budget compared to most big budget superhero movies these days.

It’s still on track for a record-breaking opening weekend for October ($75-$80 million). Can the mixed-negative reception affect it? Well, we’ll see how audiences will respond to it. Venom nevertheless has a lot of momentum behind it.

When holier-than-thou, pompous snobs (who of course spew shits of smugness) end up getting owned. In this special individual’s case, it was apparently Venom’s poster and not the division between critics and audiences that spelled flop. Ah, how glorious! XD

In my experience if there is a visible division of opinions between critics and audience it usually means the critics are rating the movie based on politics over the quality of movie. We saw this with the new ghostbusters very clearly for example.
