Why do they have to fictionalise a fiction?

Why not just make the story more interesting by focusing on how Latif escaped Iraq with his life by impersonating Uday? Instead of the typical "I will get you back" ending cliche?

Yeah, I didn't like the ending at all. And the whole getaway bit. Oh well.

Because then Latif would have to admit that he's a liar and he was never Uday's body guard everyone that was around Uday or Saddom has said Uday never used a body double muchless Latif being his body double even Latif's ex wife says he's lying and was using a different name when she met him.
