First Episode not good
And doesn't even give off wonder years vibes to me. Maybe it would work without the expectations of the Wonder Years, but that is not the case. Maybe I'll watch one more episode, but if that sucks too, count me out.
shareIt's quite solid show if you don't compare to the original snow. Pretty good cast, nice costumes and good atmosphere. The pilot episode isn't very memorable episode that makes me wanna to watch more episodes, but still a solid episode. Hope it gets better and better.
How do you NOT compare it to the original show? It BEGS for that comparison. Not to compare it with the show whose name is stolen is like ordering a pizza, being served a hot dog, and you complacency being okay with that.
shareExactly. Costumes are about all that I agree with him on. The acting and dialogue was wooden and terrible. I rewatching the original Wonder Years pilot this morning and it was on solid footing from the get go. With sitcoms, you. Generally hit the ground running or you don't. I'm sure the ratings were reasonable, and I'd expect them to remain so for two more weeks. We'll see a steady decline after that.
