the writers will bring it up each episode figure his daughter overdosed also they did kill off wife in blue bloods even though she was a better actor than most of them and her storyline was better than most oh well as they say

the actress playing his wife must be so upset, she got a call saying they re doing this new serie, but she only got 30 seconds of screen time unconscious in the hospital lol
