What do people think of Master of None?

I think it's basically the same character as Tom in P & R and I'm a Tom fan but come on, I don't want to see that much Tom. I also find it odd that Tom is so sexually successful in the Master of None universe where he is a bit more ahead of himself on P & R in terms of his abilities.

I sort of see Master of None as a fantasy in Tom's head where life is chill and he has everyone's respect.

It seems to be getting good reviews mostly bc in this day and age, critics are desperate to see a minority on TV

I thought it was amazing

Dev is really not much like Tom at all other than the occasional use of that cutsie voice and some other Aziz-isms.

It took me a few episodes to get into the show, but I was hooked by mid-season. I really enjoyed it.

I liked it

Binged it when it came out so I don't remember it in great detail, but I really liked it and can't wait for S2.

Aziz has a very distinct look/delivery so I can see similarities between Dev and Tom, but not many. I like Aziz as an actor and comedian but I really, really dislike Tom. If I hated Dev half as much there's no way I'd get through a full season.

I think it's a really great show. And that's coming from someone who was skeptical going into it and wasn't all that impressed by the first episode. The show finds it's groove pretty early on though and by the end of it I was disappointed that there wasn't more to watch. The content touches on some pretty trivial, yet insightful and relevant topics going on in the lives on 20-35-ish year olds.
