Worst episode?

My vote? 100% the Andy Johnny Karate episode from season seven. What a complete waste of time.

I just skipped through it in about two minutes. If I wanted to see a kiddie show, I'd watch Nickelodeon.

It's bound to be something from season 6 and 7... lol.

Yeah, that one was probably the worst. I really hated the one were Ron brings a live pig to the company picnic to slaughter. Ron was such a dick in that episode and he was really out of character. I tried to rewatch Season 5 not that long ago and I couldn't get past that episode.

I agree. That episode felt overly harsh for his character. Really forced. Normally he always has a calm reasoning behind his actions.

Any scene that has Craig! So annoying. The Cousin Oliver of Parks and Rec!

I'd agree with Johnny Karate, I've watched it twice and was bored stiff both times. I assume it was added in to capitalise on Chris Pratt's success after Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jurassic World.

If Andy was in a cop show playing Burt Macklin I'd sort of understand it, but the Johnny Karate persona had only come up, what, 2 or 3 times at most by that point? It felt like an unnecessary farewell to a character/persona we barely knew or cared about, on a TV show we'd never seen. The whole episode was filler for me.

Other low points for me are specific scenes or subplots rather than full episodes, eg. the Halloween party where Ron and Ann go around fixing things, every episode where Chris behaved totally out of character dating Jerry's daughter, the concert in the S6 finale "Moving Up" featuring a whole host of guest "stars"/bands I've never heard of.... plus virtually any scene involving US sports stars was a complete bore to me (I'm in the UK so have no idea who any of them are).

Well the production on Season seven was filmed between August 11 and December 12 2014 so "Guardians of the Galaxy" might have influenced it but Jurassic World did not come out until after the episode aired.

Having a kids TV show with the Johnny Karate persona makes a lot more sense than any show with the Burt Macklin persona. The episode itself was a nice farewell to Andy and showed how much of a good person he is. A Burt Macklin show would not have done that.

Pratt's casting in JW was announced in January 2014, so I still figure that (as well as GOTG) played a part in them wanting to feature his character more in the final season.

I don't mean that a Burt Macklin TV show would've necessarily made sense for Andy's character or within the P&R universe. I mean if we as viewers HAD to have an episode devoted to Chris Pratt playing one of his alter egos then it would've been more rewarding for it to be Burt Macklin, because we'd seen him so many times since Season 2. Johnny Karate still felt like a recent addition to the show, and a persona we'd barely seen. Obviously I'm biased against the episode - I didn't find it funny so for me it was a wasted episode in such a short season.

Johnny Karate without a doubt. Just appalling. The only watchable bit was Ron's advert for VGBC.
