If there is ONE good thing governments have actually done and implemented well, it's definitely THE LIBRARY.
Libraries are great equalizers, as they give poor people access to what otherwise only rich or at least well-off people can do. It's a place to go to, even if you have nothing else in your life, you can do a massive amount of stuff in a library, you can find information, music, stories, entertainment and do research.
There's in the modern era, also free access to the internet. Of course an internet connection is nowadays almost like a 'basic need' and it's everywhere, but there have been times when this has 'saved my life' in many ways.
Libraries also usually keep up with 'modern stuff', so you can browse any websites you want and it will work - I mean, if you want to use an older browser on your home computer, library will let you access things you wouldn't be able to on your old PC. You can also pay your bills and do your banking in a situation where you have just moved or something, where you don't have the internet connection installed yet and so on.
Libraries can be immensively useful and practical, but also introduce you to fun stuff you did not know about previously, such as old comics and whatnot (I would not know about Mafalda, Yōko Tsuno or probably even Tintin if it wasn't for libraries - at least for a long time). It lets you read expensive books without having to buy them and so on.
Libraries let you even read magazines you could not afford to subscribe to, or at least wouldn't know about, etc. without them.
A library is an objective GOOD that the governments of the world have agreed upon to actually do for the good of the people, instead of for the good of the corporations. Libraries are basically amazing, so any hatred towards them is sheer lunacy, idiocy, ignorance and unwise (could not figure out how to write 'dumbness').
This only proves the makers of this show don't understand anything - no wonder they made so many bad decisions..
