The Pit

If I recall correctly...the first 2 seasons were like all about the pit and making it into a park.

I wish they would have focused more on that in later seasons; and got the park done and shown it. That would've been awesome. We never even got to see it. That always made the show feel incomplete.

They finished the park, they just never really came out and announced it. That's where they hosted the big concert and a lot of the other festivals.

I felt the same way. I know that shows have to evolve over time, but they just completely abandoned the original premise. They could have at least made a more climactic ending with the park before moving on to the political storylines that would eventually become the focus of the show.

Yes I agree, they should have had an episode centered on the new park to wrap things up. I also would have liked to see who was behind the mockumentary. And more of Leslie and Ron with their kids. I feel like seeing their parenting would have been really funny.

After having watched only the first season, I would have bet all my money that they show would end on finishing the park. Leslie was shown in parks in the early episodes a lot. I kinda hate that they lost focus that way and went for the super-emotional ending instead. In a way, I would have loved if they all had stayed at the parks department.
