This or The Office?

Which show do you like better, Parks and Recreation or The Office (american version), and why?
Haven't seen either and thinking of trying one soon but can't decide! From what I know/have seen, I'm thinking I'll like P&R better, but The Office seems to be more popular and well liked so idk...

The Office is more consistent in my opinion. Parks and rec is great but that 1st season was very poor

Watch Both. They're both solid and entertaining for the most part.

Both had rocky starts with their first season and a half.

The Office- Starts off weak, and gets better, and is overall funnier and sillier than Parks & Rec. that greatness lasts until the last couple of seasons where it goes out with a whimper, and not a bang.

Parks & Rec- Starts out weak, and gets better. It isn't as silly, or as funny as The Office(during its middle seasons), but I think its characters evolve and mature better, and becomes much more heartfelt. And that's not to say that it's not funny. It really is, and frankly, as far as sitcoms go, it may have one the best series finale episodes ever.

Yeah... watch both. You can't go wrong.

Parks and Recreation...I found it to be more consistent and fun to watch.

The Office had two brilliant seasons (2 and 3), a few pretty good seasons (1, 4, 5, and 7), and outright terrible seasons (6, 8, and 9).

Parks and Recreation got off to a slow start, but quickly became consistently brilliant.

Parks and Rec is more on the absurd side of the comedy spectrum. The Office is filled with dry humor and cringe moments while Parks and Rec is more laugh out loud.

The Office is good, this show is not.

Maybe it gets good later, but so far, after seeing hours upon hours of the first two seasons, I don't yet see WHY anyone would watch this. It offers nothing to the viewer - at least nothing that hasn't been done better and in a more interesting, exciting and/or pleasant way in other shows.

I still don't know what I am supposed to get out of the viewing experience. I have chuckled maybe three times or so, wanted to laugh at one joke, and that's about it. Why would anyone watch this instead of 'The Office', I really do not understand. Are people mental? Is this show actually going to get even mediocre later, because it doesn't quite reach that lofty, ambitious level yet.

I just have to wade through this much boredom and meaninglessness just to get to some kind of elusive, much-hyped 'good part', so I am leaning towards just giving up and finding something actually good.

Heck, even the abysmal first season of the USAian 'The Office' was at least 'lively', you would still be entertained. This show? What is this supposed to be? I don't get it.
