Dutch that bought and transported them to America? What about the European men who were rounded up and taken from their families and sent to America as slaves? The blacks who owned slaves? Slavery - less than 8% of the population owned a slave, and some of the slave owners were non-white. Black people owned slaves and so did Native Americans and Spaniards. However, it was mostly just rich land owners that participated in the slave trade. The average working class citizen couldn't afford it. Asian people were held as slaves too and we don't see them bringing it up every 10 minutes. Still, slavery ended long ago and white people fought to end it.

Genocide - there was no genocide, black people are still here.
Colonialism - sure, it happened but when white people arrived in Africa, blacks were already slaves and guess what... black people owned black people and sold them to whites.

Definitely against company policy. I was silent. Next time I know not to be because that's complicity. The irony is that my company is extremely racist and is attempting to address it.
