This movie's ending adds another to the list of what I am tired of

SPOILERS

It really grinds my gears when they kill off all the main male characters like it's nothing, as if we don't care. The problem is they would never even dare touch the lead female character because THEN the audience would leave with a bad taste in their mouth. Am I the only one who thinks it's unfair that the worthless damsels in distress always get to escape at the cost of the hero men? It's very chauvinistic. This is getting so boring, please if you're a director and you're working on a low budget piece of crap, at least make it something WE HAVEN"T F-ING SEEN and it won't cost you another $$$ to change an idea. Good ideas, believe it or not, can be free.

I'm sick of it too.
It's part of the forced female empowerment crap.

It has to be in there otherwise the film gets labelled sexist yet killing of all the men and having only female characters as having any fighting and survival instinct isn't.

Sadly we are tuck with this misandry until people see it for what it is and start writing both female AND male characters better.

It can be done but when they are pandering to one group and at the expense of 50% of the world's population where most of this type of films audience comes from we have to put up with it.

It's not like chick flicks (which are incredibly sexist) make any attempt to get more men watching them, which apparently is ok to be excluding, by shoehorning in a cat chase or empowered male characters.
but then having male characters that are chauvinistic and derogatory to the opposite, who belittle the women in the films and ate always smarter and better than whatever the heroine is good at and use violence against any female who pisses them off would cause outrage so we are a long way of having the sort of male empowered characters that are the same as the female empowered characters in films.

And rant over
