Female cop? - may contain spoiler

What happened to her?
One scene showed her pulled to the side of the road, then that was it.
Maybe the dvd i rented skipped? Did I miss her death?

reply

No you didn't miss it. She's sitting in her car, in the background you hear the mutant guy screaming/laughing, she looks behind her then it shifts to another scene. You don't see her again until the girls are trapped at his house.

"Well...I've seen enough. Come on Charlie, we're going home."

reply

Hmm...I must have missed that. I saw the one girl from the begining all tied up, but i didn't see the cop. Thanks.

reply

Da_pezman, the scene you saw where the girl from the beginning is tied up is also the same scene where the lady cop is seen hung and bounded by barbed wire topless, and then she dies

reply

Oh man..was that HER? I swear I didn't recognize her!...I honestly thought it was some RANDOM girl!

I had a very similar question. She was in her SUV parked on the side of the road, then the next time we see her she is naked and tied up with razor wire in Three Fingers' cabin. How did that happen? In a deleted scene we see him tying her to a table in the cabin (she is in her uniform), but still no clue how he managed to capture her.

As I watched the film and saw the way she dealt with the prisoners I was hoping she was going to be the difference in the battle against the cannibals. Unfortunately she became another helpless female captive.

reply

Another helpless female?
After her trite earlier scene (which would've had her fired long ago if that's her attitude) I thought we had yet another unrealistic, forced into the film buffyfied female.

Female characters are the ones who have survival instincts not men in these films and the only ones who 99%of the time put up a fight and survived.

A tired, worn cliché that's run it's close through 30 years of it being badly implemented

It's a shame they deleted that scene. I also had no idea that the victim in the cabin was supposed to be the female cop till I looked at this message board. I just thought she was some random woman. We'd only seen her in a hat up till that point, so her hair looked unfamiliar, and her terrified expression makes her face look quite different as well. That's my excuse, anyway.
