and i'm kinda scared to given the reviews. but as a fan, will i at least enjoy it since it is an extension of the series we have all come to know and love?...or should i just stay away?

Stay away. Trust me on this. I caught a hacked-up version on TBS (I think) a short time ago, watched it while I did some house stuff & told my husband afterwards that I was glad I hadn't wasted my money on it. It's really pretty horrendous, SJP needs to say goodbye to Carrie.

i know this was posted nearly 2 years ago, so you've likely either gone ahead and watched or decided not to by now... but as a fellow die-hard SATC fan who has seen all seasons of the show and the first movie multiple times, I just revisited the 2nd movie (after seeing it in the theater and probably one other time since). I didn't have a great impression of it from the first viewings, but despite all the complaints about this one (some of which I agree with), at the heart of it, it is still our girls, having moved on to new chapters of their lives, and the love between them is still there. If you are a fan, you need to see this. I'm glad to have gone back and watched it again.
