What are some popularly considered ” cringe inducing moments” that you..

Don't think are that bad?

Some of mine:
” Lawrence of my Labia” - this is a terrible line and a tired joke, but Kim sells it imo, better than anyone else could have

The real camel camel toe - So I'm not in my 40s, but I am absolutely more mature than I was a decade ago. That said, if I'm riding a camel with friends in the desert and one of them falls off and then had one...we would definitely be cackling like fiends the same way they did. I thought it was funny even if they made it look weird.

Anthony getting choked up - I hate them getting married, but I thought this little moment was kind of cute

Finally, Liza singing Single Ladies - she owned it hard and killed the dance, and I only hope my legs look that incredible at that age. Had this been the highest point of campiness in the film it might be more accepted. Her final ” oh oh oh” is awful, though, and should have been changed.

As a bonus, have a ” why isn't this hated more?”:
The couple that Carrie and Big meet at the wedding...was that seriously supposed to be the first time they'd heard of a married couple not wanting/having kids? What a ridiculous overreaction.

When you're 17 a cow can seem dangerous and forbidden...am I alone here?

Re: What are some popularly considered ” cringe inducing moments” that ykids called selfish...and here I thought not bringing a life you don't really want into the world to satisfy others was actually the opposite!! Personally, now that I'm at the age where my peers are having kids, the less gifts o have to buy the better lol...I already have for godchildren and, by loose definition, about thirty nieces/nephews (counting friends kids/anyone who calls me ” Uncle”).

DEF that couple that judged them for having no kids. Big was right, they acted like he just told them theres no santa clause, lol. But seriously, they were SO damn rude. I know it was supposed to exaggerated because that was a theme in the movie of Big and Carrie not having kids and their struggle to make it work even tho its just "them two" but in real life.... if that couple acted like that... I'd call em out! Hopefully that wouldnt of happened in real life but some people are ignorant.

The part that pissed me off the most about that scene? when the husband instantly offered the names of "surrogates" right off the bat to carrie and big. I just thought that was out of line!

when SJP is applying the Kajal eye liner, looking in the mirror, she looks about 500 years old

Everyday I learn something new!

I can't think of any cringe inducing moments that I didn't think were that bad. They were pretty bad.

I'm surprised more people don't go on about Miranda, the Walking Tour Book of Abu Dhabi. I mean what the hell was that all about??!

"Hanjee... It means thank you."

"This tea is the standard welcome in Abu Dhabi."

"There's a loop-hole for nightclub dancers..."

Like what was the point? It seemed so forced. AND WHAT IS WITH HER SHOUTING "WOOOO" OUT THE CAB WINDOW

reply

Completely agree. How about Samantha trying to buy the Miley Cyrus dress and the saleswoman suggests it may be a little young for her? Samantha gets haughty and declares she will "ROCK this dress". Ugh/

reply

The part where Samantha sang to Dick 'I AM A WO-MAN, I'M AT THAT TAAAABBBLLLEEE!'

Cringe.

reply

Nonsense. In my Sex and the City book Samantha can do no wrong.

MAGIC=Sarah Silverman.

No it didn't feel forced. It showed them wanting to fit in a little bit. If all of them had just not bothered to learn even a sentence, or a phrase, not learned anything about the customs or clothes, I think most people would have found that a bit shocking.

This showed that they cared about learning these things. At least Miranda.

It wasn't so much their feeling what they did that surprised me - I imagine there will always be people who have kids who judge those who don't - but rather their saying what they were feeling.

The jokes at the beginning when they were in the wedding. Like sooooo corny ahhhh
