Ideas for a 3rd final film, + also what do you SJP's...

Talking about when she says that she feels there is one more story to tell. She has said they have discussed what the final ideas would be for the 4 women, but because the project has gone back & forth with wether or not it will ever get made, she doesn't expound on those storyline possibilities. Anyone have any guesses? Or how about your own ideas for what you would like to see happen in a final film. Here are my ideas. For Carrie, & Big I feel the biggest untold story would be about a baby. I know some make comments about her age, but in realty there are many women in their 40's having babies. My thought is that things are going great for Big, & Carrie, like really great! They have found their marital groove despite the normal ups, & downs, & have been quite happy. Carrie then after thinking she's either sick, or maybe starting menopause goes to see a doctor. Turns out she is pregnant. Problem is that Big had just made a declaration of how happy he is that they decided on not having a child, & how their life is next to perfect. Obviously Carrie would be waive ring back , & forth through the film about keeping it & telling big or having an abortion. One of the girls would accidently tell a Big who must rush to stop her before she goes through with it. He thinks he gets there to late only to find out she didn't do it, & was on her way to tell him about the baby. I know, it's a little cliche but I would be happy with it, & I feel the story would give them room to be the Carrie, & Big we lived watching for years, & not the ones we saw in part 2. As for the other girls ? Hmmm going to think more about it, & post as a reply to this.

Perhaps it's them coming to terms with how their lives are changing and being okay with having different priorities. I'm guessing it's final, complete closure and possibly showing women who chose not to have kids what they can reasonably do to have fun or feel fulfilled when their friends children are getting older and they can't experience it or for Miranda and other women like her in the audience to cope with their feelings on their children becoming older and more independent. IDK something like that, I'm not really taking enough time to explain it very well.

Every sin is an escape from emptiness.

I just hope the 3rd film (if it actually happens) takes place in NYC...that's all i'm really hoping for.And it would be nice if the writers would just stick to the basics of what made SATC so popular in the first place...just the four best girlfriends enjoying NYC,discussing their relationships, nights on the town and cosmopolitans etc...no new characters and no exotic vacations, just bring it all back to where it began but of course it can't be exactly how it was in the beginning.I think Carrie getting pregnant would be interesting but i don't think that'll happen.Women at her age can get pregnant of course, but it's usually with the help of a doctor and it just seems unrealistic for Carrie or Big to be wanting to have children that badly,of course she could accidentally become pregnant but that also seems unrealistic. If anything,i can def see Samantha getting married, which IMO that would be a good story-line...because who would've thought lol

I have a feeling it’s going to pull a “Beaches” and have one of the women die. In fact, I think it’ll be Samantha, from a cancer reoccurrence. And, really, whatever. I’ve only been interested in the movies for the fashion. In my mind, Sex and the City ended—truly ended—with the series.

Funny I had the same idea.......opening with a funeral scene then telling the story through flashbacks!!!

Carrie teaches a college course in writing.

Samantha deals with a young, too-thin client. ( this is an idea Michael Patrick King almost usedfor the first movie. Apparently, Erin was also aalmost in the first movie).

Miranda, who never understood men, copes with her hormonal teenage son.

Charlotte looks for houses in the suburbs.

Sex and the City 3 will consist entirely of deleted scenes from the previous two movies, and nobody will notice it. It's gonna be great!

It's too bad they compromised the SATC movie franchise with the second film. It was downright awful and it was too obvious they did it to cash in on the popularity of the first one, which they actually went to the drawing table and fleshed out the screenplay to make a decent script. I feel, in some ways, let them to do a third and final one just to redeem the brand, but if they churn out another fiasco like the second one then let sleepy dogs lie.

No babies! SJP is 50, and she has always played Carrie as the same age as herself. And Big is pushing 60! For them to have a baby at this stage (and keep in mind a movie would be at least two years from now, by the time it's made!) would be ridiculous.
Keep it simple and true to the series, much like the first movie. In NYC! Friends, husbands, relationships, fun, laughter, heart...that's all we need.

I think in 3, Mirada and Steve should get pregnant again and they have a special needs child which would throw Mirada into a depression because she is ocd about perfection.

I could see the 3rd film having Miranda and Steve focusing on their ever growing troubles with Brady who is now a teenager. Steve finds out that his mother passed away which puts him in a depression. Samantha deals with the fact that she is pushing 60 and feels as though she is starting to get old. Carrie and Big are doing well in their marriage. Carrie decides to teach a writing course feeling it would be the best way to reach out to a younger generation.

I like this idea. I think there needs to be some classic girl time in the city as there was in the series. No excursions to other locations. Part of the trouble is that they are all now in happy relationships other than Samantha. Their dating lives is what made the series and the franchise got its ending in the series and first movie.

Although I feel like we are now just scraping the barrel for story delving more so into their domestic family lives I would still like a more satisfactory ending than what the second movie gave us.

This is my concept for the 3rd film still in the works.

8 years after the events of the second film and 20 years since the start of the pilot, the lives of Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte have gone through many changes since they were last seen. Miranda and Steve are dealing with the ever growing issues of teenage Brady who has a girlfriend and the both of them worry that their son might be sexually active when Miranda finds condoms on his bed. Steve finds out his mother Mary passed away which puts him in a sort of depression. Miranda gets a job offer to run her own law firm but worries that the position might be out of New York and worries having to deal with the possibility of saying goodbye to her friends. Miranda faces a crisis of her own, when the nanny Madga who she has thought of as mother figure to her is growing sick and looking feeble. Samantha who is now 60 is dealing with the growing issues of aging and feeling like she is truly old when being insulted by a group of young girls that call her a has been when seeing her have sex with her latest fling. She also deals with scary news that her cancer has resurfaced and fears dying making her wonder for the first time if she truly lived a happy life despite being a sexually confident woman for most of her life. Her former crush Dante from LA makes a surprise return and admits that he had a crush on her since they first meet 10 years ago. Sam finally gets her chance to screw him like she wanted to do since the first film but finds the experience not pleasurable despite the fact that she wanted it feeling that despite the encounter being passionate that lacked a sort of spark and connection like she had with Smith who she misses dearly.
Charlotte and Harry are doing well despite the ever growing hassles of raising Lily and Rose who end up having a rivalry of sorts because of the age difference and Rose feeling like Lily doesn’t want her part of her life because she has different interests and feeling like she can’t be part of her sister grown up interests. Meanwhile Carrie and John who have finally found a balance in their marriage are also doing well. Carrie who finds out Enid has retired from Vogue and takes the position her old boss had feeling that it would be a great opportunity to have a big position but finds the politics of it to be boring and very stressful. John deals with issues of his own when he finds out one of his business deals goes bad and isn’t sure how to tell Carrie the news feeling like he will disappoint her. Carrie feels that she is losing her writing touch and decides to teach at NYU but finds the politics of university teaching to not be of her style so she decides the best approach is to be her own boss and ruin her own publishing company which seems to bring her a sense of happiness that she works for herself and doesn’t have to answer to anyone.
The ladies reunite for a new adventure this time around to Spain as a way of getting away from their trouble and sharing new memories. Samantha breaks the news to her friends that her breast cancer has come back more aggressively this time despite being rigorous about her health and fears having to say goodbye to her friends. Miranda confesses to her friends that she is seriously considering the partnership of her own law firm in Connecticut feeling that it would give the freedom that she has craved for so long while also allowing her to spend more time with Brady and Steve.
