Wouldn't Donnie still be a suspect?
In the attempted robbery of a Federal Bank?
shareYeah, there is a lot about the ending that doesn't really hold together when you think about it. Thought it was really just the movie being too smart for it's own good.
I'm trying to go for an entertaining, informative youtube channel so, if you have the time, take a look. Hope you enjoy what you see and if you have any thoughts or criticisms, i'd love to hear them. Thanks in advance. Review right here-https://youtu.be/7Dw6qyp8cMc

shareYeah, but what evidence did they have of him being part of it. There were a couple illegal interrogations that the dirty cops wouldn't have recorded and a bunch of dead accomplices. I'm sure he left town quickly b/c he knew their (dirty cops) power is significantly reduced outside LA. They could try to set him up or kill him if he's in town but that's difficult otherwise and they still got the bad guys. Why would dirty cops ruin a huge win with the truth?
shareI agree that any evidence they had was obtained illegally and any further pursuit of Donnie would have revealed how dirty those cops were.
shareBecause all the evidence they had was obtained illegally and any attempt to actually do things by the book to arrest Donnie would shine a light on how dirty the Regulators were.
I actually half expected Donnie to turn out be Internal Affairs seeing how dirty those cops were.
There would be camera footage of Donnie leaving the Federal Reserve without him ever entering the Federal Reserve! That would be kinda suspicious.
shareIn what? Officially he just made two deliveries for food to the reserve bank and there is no actual evidence of him being involved in any crime. Outside of the reach of dirty cops - hes safe.
