Worst horror/comedy ever!

It's too serious and weird for a comedy, but way too over the top for a horror film. The jokes are very hit or miss. I can't tell if this is trying to be a horror comedy. It just doesn't balance both genres well. It honestly feels more like a B horror film then a comedy.

And, of course, your opinion is the only one that matters. 

That's what makes is a horror comedy. If it was one way or the other, it wouldn't be a blend of both.

Let's be bad guys.

Doesn't it have to have that "serious" "horror" moments to it to keep it a horror film at the same time?

If it wasn't having that somewhat sarcastic seriousness to it it would just be scary movie...

This was better.

When is weird bad in humorous flicks?

reply

I kind of liked that about it. It was almost like mixing Hostel with Scream.

You really don't get this movie do you alexalberttt? Being in the the minority on something isn't necessarily a bad thing, I mean, that's what makes America great!

But you're wrong...

And stupid.

Isn't it odd how opinions work

You thinking it's awful, in no way effects my opinion of thinking it's one of the best horror movies in years

Crazy huh!

SFMZone, I have to admit I am at fault here. I did belittle Alex about his point of view and you are absolutely correct about practicing what you preach.

If I had to defend myself, I would point out the numerous threads Alex has deriding this movie. It isn't just this one thread, he has quite a few.

He hated this movie and he has every right to! But I disagree profoundly. I will admit to being childish in my name calling but I stand by his inability to understand this movie and appreciate the satire; a concept i truly don't beleive he grasps.

Thank you for you candor and I hope I proved that I have at least a well thought out opinion.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I would agree that a person should be able to critique/praise/admonish any movie or TV show as many times as they want.

But I would say that a person "fanboying/girling over a movie or TV show is different then someone bashing/critiquing those same movies and TV shows.

I would argue that the positive is more likely to be beneficial then the negative. Now, I fully admit this is contradictory to my past posts. I have a tendency to get argumentative and mean spirited when I strongly disagree with a point of view, but that doesn't dimish that point of view.

I think you and I think very similarly, we just want everyone to have their say, without threat of condemnation. It's just a matter of semantics when it comes to our differences.

Not to mention the amount of alcohol I tend to consume before commenting on IMDB. Beleive me, I'm much less apologetic when I've been drinking, LOL.

I think the problem was that the film didn't blend the two genres well. It wasn't scary nor was it very funny. The only thing funny about it is everyone dying.
