Loved it first time, second time not so much.

After leaving the cinema back in 2012 I was sure this was one of the best horror-comedies in recent time.
I still think it is a different, technically sound film.
Watching it last night though for the first time since 2012 made me feel differently, it isn't scary and apart from the control room scenes with Jenkins and Whitord it isn't really that funny.

That's ok. I've felt the same way about other movies. Liked them the first time, then after a few years, didn't care much for them.

I would agree this film's impact is the first impression. A second viewing or more of this film can never capture the impression it made on my first viewing, but I still enjoy a replay from time to time.....just not to the same degree of interest.

I still really enjoyed it on repeat viewings. But yeah, I'll agree that the experience watching it the first time can't be replicated.
