One of the best movie i have ever seen.
Clever and original, which is not a thing you can say about most films nowadays. :) Equally a homage and a satire of the horror genre.

shareAgreed. A love letter that plays with and subverts so many horror tropes.
You are sin.
Are you kidding me? This movie sucked big hairy donkey ballsac. You have to be outta your mind to think otherwise. Terrible plot and acting and the ending was worse than a back alley abortion. Jesus. Watch a real suspense movie like 10 Cloverfield Lane. Basically, if you think this movie was good you should *beep* kill yourself. Lesson learned.
shareyeah, at the beginning it makes some sense, but the ending... it's nothing.
shareGreat film, loved it. Now to the guy who said abort yourself, I will check out your ratings and laugh cause you probably give out 10/10 like your mom gives out blowy's.
shareGlad you liked it, but I thought it was one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's lame and insulting to horror movie fans. Plus I am sick to death of horror movies being "comical." Horror shouldn't be funny. I really don't think many people know what horror movies are anymore... they think they're just dumb comedies with gore in 'em.
This is probably my least favorite movie, outside of An American Haunting.
Horror shouldn't be funny.
Well written!
shareI never get tired of this one. One of my favorites.
shareIt’s a gem, and gets more precious with age as movies turn into endless lazy sequels/reboots/remakes. A genuinely funny and inventive stand-alone movie - the very thing that used to define Hollywood - is now a relic.
shareI thought it was really good too.
Creative, thrilling, funny, violent…it was a really fun horror movie.
Totally. The people who trash it are edgy trolls and frustrated morons who don’t ‘get it’ because it dares to be clever, inventive and funny.
Which category does this prick fall into?: https://moviechat.org/tt1259521/The-Cabin-in-the-Woods/58c7d58cf9fcca09a0e4f930/One-of-the-best-movie-i-have-ever-seen?reply=63ca06b88bed8b21764a571d
Totally agree. This was back in my Blockbuster Video days where I would go in to rent something and I kept passing it by time after time. I kept saying to myself oh god, not another one of those. But then I finally just said fuck it and rented it and I was so glad I did. Nothing could ever have prepared you for what this movie was about and no one could have ever guessed. That's how original and different it is. Would have liked a sequel, but, the way the movie is presented as far as the storyline and as far as it's ending goes, it leaves no room for a sequel. And that's a good thing too.
