The Hole (with thora birch) When those teenagers get locked in some hole. There's a big twist that I wont reveal. I still need to see it, but it is sort of similar. You know...they start questioning each other, who is to blame, how to survive, all the rules go out the window.
Hmm think i might go find it on the internet to watch now.
The Hole (2001) is an amazing movie :)
shareyeah it was great!!!! Although very different to how I thought it was going to be and so I would take back what I said about it being very similar to Exam. I thought the whole thing would be told in a straight forward narrative, being in the hole for the majority of the time. But I liked how they played it out, with the different sides to the story.
************SPOILLLERRRRRR************ I hated Thora's character soooo much when she was prattling on about her and that guy while keira was throwing up in the toilet. :< stupid b*tch. Sorry don't know how to make spoiler invisible.
you just write
random spoiling text
this are the commands, only delete the space at the end of the command word inside the sqare bracket
and you get this: random spoiling text
I recommend japanese drama, Liar Game series, which also has movie spin-offs.
If you enjoy mind challenging game rules, Liar Game rules have much more depth than Exam. Definitely more fun and require more thinking to understand.
Book Report (1995)
Detention (2001) and
Lunch (2002)
have similar premises, highly recommended
While not the same, Versus (2000) has some similarities.
sharewould you rather (2012)
shareNot quite the same but Exam reminds me of this film:
Man on a Ledge 2012
Also Fermat's Room 2007 which is already mentioned.
...a little fantastic, and fleeting, and out of reach.
What about The Game? It's about 20 years old and not very good nor is it set all in one place but it is about a head game.
shareThe Game is very underrated and a solid film. Fincher perfected the mood throughout.
shareI think The Game is brilliant. A fantastic, fun, thrilling film, from start to finish.
shareOkay. Well, to krousesh and Waves, I guess I'll have to give it another look. I remember having waited for it to come out with great anticipation and having felt disappointed. But maybe if I had come to it without any prior build-up, I might have been blown away, as occasionally blessedly happens when you happen onto an old movie.
To the OP, if she happens to look here, another one that was more of a crime drama, of course, as you can tell by the title, which Michael Douglas's starring in The Game made me think of, is A Perfect Murder. You might enjoy that, too.
