Long take at the end

Anybody else likes the last long take at the end of the film?
(starting approx. at 2:08:16 and lasting for 3:15)

I'm wondering if the whole crowd was able to run from side streets in 15 seconds? Or does anybody think some CGI was used - particularly in the distance?

There was almost certainly a digital set extension. Just past the 50 or so people surrounding the two leads you'll see the crowd is blurry and non-descript. This is where the blend starts. It'll be repeated cycles of footage to make up the crowd.
