Instead of attempting another sequel (the first of which was terrible) why don't they try a prequel?
They could explain Jason Treborns attempt to understand the power/curse and his inability to deal with it and his ultimate incarceration into a mental institute, right up to the birth of Evan...
I think it would be an interesting slant, instead of churning out crap like the butterfly effect 2
Agreed. One problem in particular in The Butterfly Effect 2 is when Nick was studying up Jason's problem on the computer. It just totally failed to continue to explain things that happened to him. Which could of helped Nick do the right thing (if he could).
If they don't make the third film a prequel then I think they can do a better job of explaining making someone learn from Evan. Like reading Evans journal in the end of part 1 when he writes "If anyone finds this, it means my plan didn't work, and I'm already dead. If I can somehow go back in the beginning of all of this, I might be able to save her."
Or they can have it where he studies up Jason like Nick did in part 2.
I mean if they just make part 3 with the same plot and same ideas as part 1 or even part 2 (which I hope they don't) it will just get old.
