Lonnie and Lenny WTF

ok one of the biggest problems i have with this movie is that the first one his childhood friend Lenny is the one whom he screws over and gets him sent to a mental institute, but in this one he screws over Lonnie and he gets sent to the penitentiary. While this alone is too similar i mean they couldnt have picked a diff name like Ron or something lol they both say the same thing when visited by the lead role character this movie Sam, (the first one Evan) they both say "you did this, you belong here not me" i mean come on WTF very unoriginal stealing direct lines from a movie that really has no ties to the previous movie except the fact it involves the same time travel method. Anyone else catch this or just me?
