Sinemma, that doesn't even begin to explain why he doesn't remember his life after he changes an event. The consequences of his actions are never explained, which is actually kind of ridiculous, since he lived through each of those time periods. In the original Butterfly Effect, every time Evan changed something, he literally lived through the rest of his life after that point, and it all came rushing back to him soon after the jump.
In this movie, the past changes, but he doesn't. He only has the memory of the life he experienced, which sort of negate the whole brain frying thing. Evan's brain was overloaded with overlapping memories, and the fracturing made sense in respect to the plot. In this movie, there is no indication that he remembers anything besides his original timeline, though apparently his brain can still get fractured for some reason.
How do you explain that?
