Prior to Sam making the last jump in his room who is it that put those flowers in his bedroom to paralyze him? It was never really revealed and why did they put those there? I never understood that part of the movie.

shareI believe it was his sister Jenna because she felt that he was catching unto her, and as she kept telling him throughout the entire movie that she didn't want him time traveling anymore.
Proof of this theory is how the time travel right before he smelled the flowers, he was about to find Harry (the old mentor) in that storage unit, but then something stopped him from revealing this and made him jump back to the present, which is when he woke up on the couch and Jenna told him that she was going to work.
Mind you, he had done this time travel on his own, which raised the question as to how he ended up on the couch by himself.
