I get shorter and shorter in patience watching these new Star Trek series. They are awful.

Pandering to the same characters, and if not sometime during the series Kirk, Spock, or Picard or whoever shows up. Always talking about Earth history when there are hundreds of other civilizations.

Starfleet HQ is in San Francisco? Still the same old Golden Gate bridge, despite that even today there are far more amazing bridges all over the Earth?

Always at war, just like the US. They never develop any real ideas in the new shows. They never explain the monetary system.

They often try to appeal to what is politically correct today - like having wind mills all over Earth. You have to imaging that at some point before the 23rd century they will find a better power source and not need to ugly the skyline with windmills.

All the cities look like anthills, and the people act like robots.

And then, not to mention to absurdity of the ship designs. And why so many people in these ships? Why risk so many lives in a Starship?
