Gullible or what!

People in america have their hearts in the right place but i must say we are gullible.
We voted Bush into power.
TWICE.

The information about the Carlyle group, etc., is available. Enron happened, many other things happened in his command.
And we just let it go, and voted him back. Amazing!

For the people who are saying negative things against this movie.. they are the same guys who are a part of the system who have been hiding our money and usurping ungainly profits.
Watch the south park episode Margaritaville s13 ep 3 (i think) they showed how derivatives work.
I even saw a prog. on BBC or CNN but didn't understand how such a thing could be perpetuated.
It seemed like a movie plot, but no one would believe the plot, because people would say- comeon.. thats a load of bull.. That could never happen.
It did, in real life.
Thanks to this movie.. even though we will not realize exactly what the plot was, we will atleast know who the villain is.
We believe in fancy dreams sold to us by greedy people, who we don't know and willingly give our money away.
But we don't believe that our president was born in america because someone on FOX channel thinks so!
Did i mention we were gullible?

First of all, and I just heard someone else on an IMDb forum making this claim, we (the people of the U.S.) did NOT vote in George Bush. Do you remember what happened in Florida? That state's Supreme Court decided that there would be no more recounting of ballots, to make sure how the people of that state had voted. Several newspapers went back later, after the illegitimate swearing in of George Bush, and discovered that if they HAD really made the extra effort to determine how everyone had voted, that Al Gore would have carried the state. And didn't you hear the report by Greg Palast (http://www.gregpalast.com) about how thousands of black voters were taken off the voter rolls because they were categorized as possible felons, but they never went and checked to make sure all these people were who they thought they were (or something like that, I'm afraid I am bad about remembering all the details). So there is pretty much no question that the 2000 election was stolen.

And as far as the 2004 election went, there were also some very suspicious things going on there as well. Here is a video that sort of gives a brief summary of what went on with regard to the 2004 election:

So I think perhaps it is you who are gullible, perhaps more gullible than most of the rest of us. I mean, you aren't stupid enough to believe that our corporate-owned media have any interest in keeping us gullible American's in the know about what is really going on, do you? For goodness sake, get a grip!

I wonder if you would admit that if the shoe was on the other foot - if it was Gore chosen and not Bush back in 2000, and the exact same controversy came about because of it, would you still feel the same way? I'm going to go out on a limb and say you're playing party politics and your only real beef is that Bush was elected instead of Gore. It's just a hunch - feel free to contradict me, but in my experience political conspiracy theorists are just as one-sided as ufo abductees. They believe what they want to believe and only listen to people whose theories coincide with theirs.

As to the gullibility of the country - of course it is, that's why we have an electoral college system for electing the president while we continue with the charade of a popular vote! The thing to remember is we're not a democracy now and never have been. If this is news to you then that only furthers the point of the electoral college.

Ya know, I knew politics was corrupt but to the extent I just didn't know until watching this and some other documentaries. It's downright jaw-dropping. Bush W is clearly one of the most corrupt and ineffective presidents ever, if not the absolute worst. I supported him for quite a while so I, of course, am an idiot also. While some don't want any part of doc's like these (whether they just prefer the ostrich approach or support the party getting ripped) and they are disturbing, I think the knowledge is beneficial in doing what we can to help turn this stuff around. Although I personally feel we're past the tipping point, but we should do what we can to help future generations. If not or it is indeed too late, it was a helluva 70 year run, eh? You'd think we coulda done better.....
