If the company you work for took out a life insurance policy on you
How would you react?
shareGetting ahold of the documents proving it would be tough, but if I did, I'd make copies, proceed to take out a life insurance policy on the CEO, and then marinade his steak or chicken with arsenic sauce at the next company BBQ. If I couldn't get ahold of the documents for proof, then I'd carry a registered firearm with me until I find another job.

That was such an infuriating part of the movie. It's appalling that some of that money wasn't at least shared with the surviving families. Now that the dirty secret has been exposed, I wonder if any of that type of policy has decreased. Probably not, but at least those b*stards are out in the open now because of this doc.

I don't have a problem with it myself. but it would be nice to be able to piggyback on it with a payroll deduction so my family can get a little piece of it if I kick the bucket.
But no one said that Wal*Mart killed the employee or had a hand in their death. They only whined because they didn't get a piece of the action. And since they didn't pay IN to the insurance, I see no reason why they should get anything out of it.
Boy, if this wasn't where I put my signature, I'd really let you have it!
You sound like you work for an insurance company! :C

No, I'm a big hater of insurance companies and what they've done to poison our government and free-market system. (Honestly, do you think medical treatment would be so expensive if insurance companies weren't getting a majority of the bills?)
I just don't see any harm from insuring a worker.
I see the potential for harm coming from the greed in the form of negligence, but one has nothing to do with the other.

The way you explained that makes some sense. Thanks for a thoughtful reply. I mean that.
