At the time of Edo Jr's death were he an Eva officially married? She appeared to be cast aside by the Recchi family at the hospital and also the home.

she WAS cast aside. nobody even bothered to share her grief. she was maybe the only tragic figure here.

Yes, they were married. It was very subtle - Edo introduces her as his wife at that business dinner the night he dies.

The family ignoring Eva really threw me. Then I realized (so NOT coming from this background myself) that the family is really a dynasty and isolated in that way the uber rich are. And they thought her family was barely good enough for them. Agreed, that was really sad.

What an amazing movie.
