The straight male audience (which consists of all races) makes up the core group of SW fans. Disney forgot to cater to the core group & tried to expand it which was a mistake.
The non-toxic fans & the toxic fans were aligned on disliking a mediocre show. The non-toxic fans criticize constructively. The toxic fans criticize with the "this was woke, dei, social agenda propaganda, blah blah blah..."
I consider myself a non-toxic core SW fan who liked some things about The Acolyte but ultimately thought it earned its cancellation dt the terrible pacing & other legit crits.

the ONE thing I read about this "show", was not about star wars or plot, but about the first time using a gay or trans director (sorry I forgot whatever trendy sexaul thing it was), and about a Bi actor leading, and about the same sex partner in the show or whatever.
