I love this show but will has to be my least favorite person. He always has some sort of plans and has to execute them perfectly or his friends always have to do things his way or else he freaks out and yells at everybody. He is never relaxed and just seems bossy all the damn time. I realize it's just his character but he is just so annoying in almost every single episode. I could never imagine being with him in real life for long periods of time.

shareSpot on. He's a whinging twat, as the other characters might say, constantly throwing hissy fits. The odd one-liner doesn't explain why the other blokes would befriend him (losers though they themselves might be). I find myself cringing, and his character certainly lessens my appreciation of the show as a whole.
Granted, it's broad comedy of exaggeration, but really, only Simon is genuinely likable (Neil is too dim to be believed, though he's a stock character in juvenile comedy). Yet the show is undeniably funny if puerile (other posters calling it a Brit American Pie -- or Porky's -- are accurate).
