...an obvious psychopathic murderer in training.

The sex obsession I can forgive being hes a horned up little teenager...

But the weird psychotic fit he had on his "friend's" car

Making a point to run over a squirrel (believing it to be mocking him)

The neediness and obsessive behavior with his "girlfriend"

The madochistic way he takes pleasure in seeing his friends humiliated and physically assaulted

And the incessant pathological lying and delusions of grandeur.

He's one bad day away from raping and murderering another human being.

Not to mention he is easily the most Unlikable a$$holes in all of television.

Agree, agree, agree! His relationship with his father and the mention that he has been forced to go to therapy are also pretty big red flags too.

Plus there was the time Jay and Will had this conversation:

"I'll show them."

"Do you mean Columbine Massacre 'show them' or futile gesture 'show them'?"

"Whichevers worse!"

But also, a nod to the fact that his behavior, anti-social behavior, fringe social status, and history of pathologically lying are behavioral traits of a serious whack job.

In the series finale it's implied that Jay was molested by his neighbour when he was a kid and that his mum wanted him to see a psychiatrist.

not familiar with that reference 'thick'. Means something different in the US.

'Thick' in this case means basically being dumb and stupid. (In the UK).

EXTREMELY unlikeable. And just unfunny. His constant humping things, especially in public should make him a complete social outcast. Not to mention he's a total *beep* to anyone who tries to be nice to him. That poor football friend..

A lot of this can be chocked up to just teenage insecurity. Jay always came off to me as someone who's secretly really sensitive but feels the need to hide it due to his upbringing and environment. The obsessive behaviour toward his girlfriend was all because his dad gave him bad advice and as we've seen numerous times before, Jay is very gullible. I'm not saying Jay doesn't have problem but I also don't think the issues he has are solid proof of him being psychotic.

Though a lot of it was played for comedy, I reckon a lot of us knew people that were a lot Jay at high school. The obviously untrue boasts, and the ridiculous attempts to show off. A certain personality type, especially in teenage boys.

Jay was definitely a classic example of an insecure little boy who puts on a front and is desperate to prove himself to his mates, to make himself feel better!

Two scenes that really point this out is the scene in 'Will's Birthday' when Carly talks to him while he is outside the toilets waiting for Simon, and he goes all shy and awkward (completely the opposite of what he makes himself out to be)... as well as the scene in 'Xmas Party' where he finds a connection with John and starts to open up to him (before he goes and reverts back to his normal self!)
