Scarlett Johansson as the Major is too odd.

and they are just redoing these awesome scenes from the original movie..

Amazed how close they stick to the source material! I love it already, and yes I've seen the other critics saying stuff like 'unimaginative' but then again, they are the same people that scream 'it was nothing like the original' when movies deviate from books, manga or anime.

I like the style of filming and the look of the effects so far, so good!

Btw; Scarlett is to me a great choice, not because of her looks, but because of her acting capabilities and though many say they wanted an asian....erm, Ghost in the Shell s major was originally designed not to look asian, caucasian, indian, native american or any other....that was the freaking point of her! So in real life movies with real actors, it would always be a very difficult casting process and I for one am glad they went with someone who can act instead of trying to find someone who is a real life copy...cause then they could also have pulled a Gollem and motion track the *beep* out of it/her.
