inappropriate behavior

Amid all the clucking about children sleeping in their underwear or bathing naked, nobody seems to have noticed or cared about the scene in which three parents make it clear to Rebecca that cloned children are to be shunned. Parents are expected to instruct their 'normal' children not to play with or interact with their freakish classmates. Rebecca makes no attempt to object but goes with the flow.

One of the three parents is black. Did it not occur to Rebecca or the filmmaker to point out that a few generations earlier that parent's own child would have been shunned or worse? (Most likely it didn't occur to Rebecca but it did to the filmmaker who left us to catch the point -- or not.)
