anyone else besides me really hate Mona's boyfriend or pimp, or whatever he was?

He stalked her all the time. He kept forcing himself into her life. Even when she tried to get into her own house through the back way to avoid him, he followed her there and stalked her and asked stalkerish questions and interegated her about it.

He also was a douchebag over all. In the movie theater he yelled at a guy in the movie theater and even threw popcorn at him like a major *beep* At THAT point I felt like cutting his neck and slicing one of his fingers off!

He was a definitely flawed character with his own hangups for sure. But I think he was one of the parts that was better for you in the end.

Hang ups..... Like try'n to get with an emotional stunted close to being
"slow" girl... I don't think he would think sex with "retard" unacceptable .Sorry about the term....

I agree. Well, not so much with the cutting his neck and slicing one of his fingers off, but he definitely rubbed me the wrong way. It's a shame, too, because I really like Chris Messina. But, he came across as quite the creep in this. That one scene...I don't know if it was a parent-teacher conference night or what. But, he was outside the school with her at night and the way he was coming on to her was reminiscent of a drunken frat guy at a party. Kinda made me lose all sympathy for his character's failed engagement or whatever his situation was.
