What the hell!!? Brad Pitt as a british Veteran-spy??

ok, this is the PERFECT pick:

Sean Bean.

There is no one else who i thought of when i red the plot
+ Sean Bean is almost, the same age as Brad, and he is BRITISH.

I don't know about you, but i think that Sean Bean should get this.

You do know what actors do don't you ? They act to become other types of people , seeing Brad Pitt is a very versatile actor , I don't think he will have a problem perfecting a british spy . As for Sean Bean , He is a phenominal actor but he isn't a box office hit , He is never really a money making character , No one will see it if he is the star role , AS for Brad Pitt that will change a little bit , Sean Bean is more of a side character .

I prefer to reserve judgement till after I see the film.. not always easy haha but for me it helps if I go into it like that so I'm not internally making criticisms during the film (which sometimes you don't realize that you do)

There is this British actor, his name is Benedict Cumberbatch, I think he would be perfect for this role.

Couldn't agree more, Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect for this role. :)

It's certainly a good sign for this movie that they've chosen the right actor for the role already. :)

It looks like Sienna Miller has been added to play his wife.

Rumor is that Pierce Brosnan has been added to the cast, but no confirmation yet.

I haven't yet read the book (just bought it), so I'm not sure how old Percy is supposed to be, but simply based on my first impression, it occurs to me that Daniel Day-Lewis could have been a great choice for this role. Of course, we already know Pitt has the role, and DDL is probably on break now after shooting Nine, but knowing his acting methods I think he could have brought a lot to the part. That said, Pitt is a more than capable actor and I'm sure he will deliver the goods.

To those who have read the book, do you feel that DDL would have been a good fit?
