Wondering what happened in the nurse scene? The movie was dark and i have a crappy TV so it was hard to tell. She kidnaps her, the guy finds her & carries her back to the house. But then, the nurse shows up...did she attack him outside & then he killed her? ARgh. Sorry for the lame post. I need a new tv :( Thanks for your help.

shareDaniel told Kate, the nurse, that April was immune. Kate drugs them and I think Kate was trying to take her for a cure. While escaping they crashed and Kate was attacked and April hid under the van.
shareWhere did the van come from? Presumably Kate had it parked out of sight somwhere but the film was a bit too vague on this and some other points. It's okay to leave the audience to fill in some of the gaps but if you do it too much the whole thing becomes rather confusing.
shareI think April was away in the van when the guy broke into her house. There was a scene were he was helping her get boxes out of the back and taking them into the house.
@OP - Yerh the nurse returned to the house and was calling his name, he went outside and she attacked him, then he killed her.
Even with a good TV, it was still confusing with all the flash backs, shaky cam, blurry cam and then the darkness

I thought she got attacked by one of the infected.. Thus the scene where he's inside and hears her calling his name and banging in the window, followed by her screams.
I think he just let the infected do the killing for him. Overall I think a lot of the film was hard to grasp because of extremely poor editing.
I think by the time she was calling his name she herself was already infected from the "zombies" who approached the van after the crash. Recall earlier parts of the film where the crazies are begging for help (like the barbed wire dude) but clearly messed up in the head. Daniel gives in to her cries and goes out to help her, and then she attacks him. April comes out with the knife and finishes her off, saving him in the process.
