I love this show, and I really don't have anything negative to say about it....except Morgana's evil smirk, that got old after a while.

Anyway, I think the soundtrack doesn't get enough credit! Only a few shows soundtracks have had this kind of impact on me (Lost, Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time, to name a few) I think Merlin's is up there with the best of them! Everything from the opening theme to all the musical gems throughout the show.

It really adds to the atmosphere of the show and immerses you into the Merlin universe and I believe the soundtrack was half of what made Merlin great!

Well said. The music is stunning - it really raises the show up. I bought up my favourite tracks from iTunes and have made myself a very inspiring playlist. Arthur's Last Battle, Lancelot's Heroism and The Labyrinth of Gedref are probably my top three.
I'm not super keen on the opening track because I've heard it so much I suppose.
