"Ok, almost done with this scene, but there is still something missing." - "I know, let Katie do the evil smirk." - "Yeah, ok, that might work... Now, lunchbreak, then we write the next part"
**** 10 minutes later ****
"Ok, the next scene...let's see: Morgana is planning something evil..." - "Oh, good, let's make her do that evil smile." - "Yes, ok....wait a minute, didn't we do that some moments ago?" - "Did we? I don't know, i was distracted...You know what, let's mix in some lines of dialogue about fate and destiny, and the viewers will be diverted enough to not realise that we are doing the same again." - "Well, i'm not sure, shouldn't we rather tell a bit of her story? I mean, that would be probably at least as interesting as Merlin's story anyway, we could even make her more of an anti-hero than..." - "What? No! Are you out of your mind? Where would we get if we tell the story of the villain? This started as a family show, so we want a classical evil disney villain." - "Ok then, carry on...where were we....hm...evil smile..."

Morgana calls Arthur "dear brother".
Someone gets ambushed in the woods.
Merlin eavesdrop on a conversation.
Someone calls Merlin "Emrys".
Every time that Arthur refuses to believe what Merlin tells him.
Every time that we are forced to listen to that annoying feedback sound that is meant to indicate telepathic communication is occurring.
Every time Merlin is either imprisoned, or threatened with imprisonment or execution.
Every time the same animation is used when the dragon either lands on the rock to speak with Merlin or when he flys away from the rock.
Every time the dragon insists that Merlin "do nothing".
Every time Arthur orders Merlin to clean his armor.
Every time Arthur orders Merlin to muck out his horses.
