Alternate Ending (Hear me out)
I loved the film but I felt as though the ending could have been tightened up a bit. Here's my pitch for an alternative ending.
During the film, B.J. talks about "Chekhov's gun", the plot device in which if a gun is on screen during the beginning of the film, it should "go off" later in the film or third act. The first guns we see are in Ty's (Abilene's brother) truck. The two shotguns.
What I feel should have happened at the end is that somehow while B.J is in the tent with Quentin (Ashton) B.J. should have had a gun pulled on him, thus giving Ty the ability to intervene with his shotgun and not only save B.J. but to get the vengeance that he wanted from the start. It then allows B.J. to look the other way on Ty and leave that out of the podcast.
