Not the ending

I saw coming. Rather unexpected but then again it’s in the title.

It's exactly the ending I predicted, but I didn't actually expect the film to go through with it. So it was like sort of a soft surprise? Anyhow, I really enjoyed the whole film. Great dialog, great messaging, great examination of America from different perspectives. Really good performances all around. Well paced and interesting throughout. The only thing I didn't like was how digitally flat the film looked.

reply

Hmm... Not sure the pacing was quite right, the beginning was a bit slow and I was tempted to end it early on because it didn't seem to be going anywhere... But after the first 20 minutes it seemed to find its pace and was decent enough to the end.

I'm a huge dork and it wasn't till the ending that I realized I was looking at Ashton Kutcher.

reply

Probably because most of the characters he plays are the same dumb ass little punk he played in That 70's Show... Here they actually had him in a role where he had a brain.

reply

Yeah, he had the mustache and the accent and was speaking well. It really put me off! I was actually thinking, "who's this new actor, he's pretty good".

reply

He's better than his usual work where he plays either a jock or a doofus.

It once again upheld my theory regarding mysteries and detective movies:

The most famous actor (who isn't the main character/detective/journalist) always turns out to be the bad guy.
