I'm actually baffled by the appeal of this guy. I find him hideous, uncharismatic, and not really funny.

you guys must either be girls or really jealous dudes. I like Jason as an actor, I think at times he can be very funny. Is he ever going to be nominated for an Oscar, probably not. He is also not that bad looking, he is not some chiseled hard body but that's makes him more relate able as a person. The only reason that I can think of someone bashing him is guys that are jealous that he gets paired with such great looking women.

If you really wanted your moves to be like that, you would see the same 5 guys in every film. I think that would get pretty boring.

Well, I am not arguing the morality of it. I don't think it is morally right either... I guess I am not as horrified as you, but it's not "wish fulfillment" as you like to call it. It is reality. Walk down the street and open your eyes and you will see this phenomenon. It is art mirroring reality. Call it right or call it wrong, it's just what people in our society value. As a rule (not absolute, but generalized) men value attractiveness more highly in women than women do in men. Women value things like stability, intelligence and resources over looks. If you would like to discuss the possible evolutionary factors that lead to this, you can message me privately, but it's the same as it has always been, and it's why you wont find movies where Ugly Betty is hooking up with Channing Tatum. It's because audiences wouldn't believe it... because, it's not realistic.

I think Jason Segel is *very* attractive, and funny, and he is obviously quite talented and comfortable with himself. Have you ever watched the gag reals of "How I Met Your Mother"? He seems like a totally likeable guy, who can act, and laugh at himself at the same time.

I literally have an agreement with my boyfriend that if I meet him I can have sex with him. That's how great he is. Not only just for his body, but him in his entirety is a beautiful piece of art and he's just an amazing guy. His personality is even better than his looks, which is really saying something. He's perfect.
