The 'english' church of the funeral when Jason comes back

So they have an English taxi pull up, Jasn Segal exits and then you see him approach a wooden slatted church. I've never seen such a church in England and it is clearly american in design and layout. English churchs are traditional and stone.

Was it really so difficult to come and do a day or two of shooting in England outside a English country church?

I'm from Miami and noticed the same thing. I saw the sky and trees and literally said "that is so not England" Mind you I've never been to Britain

Lol, your instincts are correct, that scene could never be England. At least not any part of it that I've been living in.

From the uk and I thought exactly the sme thing, except I thought that was kitsch but also lazy for the film makers

Moving a cast and crew to another country costs money... real money. Why would any rational person spend that kind of money for a 30 second scene in a comedy where realism isn't particularly critical?

It stood out like a sore thumb I've never seen a building here look remotely like that, they should have avoided any outside shots with actors. The one of the house looked alright but I imagine that was footage of an actual house in England

Definitely not an English church, look at the gravestones in the background as well. As for all the Wham posters, Violet would unlikely be old enough to be a Wham fan as they split up 30 years ago (I feel old), more like Take That or Westlife fan.

Ha, I came here specifically to post the same thing. Amazed it's not in the 'goofs' section too. They couldn't find a single stone church to film for 30 seconds outside of at all?

I just watched he film and something was SO bothering me about the film but couldn't put my fingers on it and yes, it was that blinkin Church.
